SSAA Brisbane

Our club has over 17,000 members from the Brisbane city area and is open for them, visitors and non-members seven days a week including public holidays.

The SSAA Brisbane branch is situated 20 minutes from the city and 20 minutes from the airport. Set in natural bushland, the range is truly a part of the beautiful city of Brisbane and is part of the Belmont Range Complex which occupies 504.3 hectares (1250 acres). Most of the complex site users have substantially upgraded their facilities to world standard.

About the range

The range comprises a rifle range of 30 benches with target frames established at 50 metres, 100, 200, 300 and 400 yards. The rifle range also has a standing post area (500 metres) suitable for various disciplines such as rifle metallic silhouette (air rifle, rimfire and centrefire), field rifle, lever action, military/service rifle and junior target shooters. 

There is also an indoor air rifle running target range, an indoor air pistol range, an outdoor pistol range (50 and 200 metres), and two clay target layouts with both trap and skeet ranges.

Pistol Participation

Pistol participation returns for the period 1st July 2016 to 30th June 2017, ARE NOW DUE. The form is to be submitted to the club by 28th July 2017. Click here to download the form.

LEGAL COMPLIANCE

All Firearms Licence holders must present their current Firearms License for inspection. All unlicensed persons from age 11 must show current photo ID.

Monday to Thursday: 1pm-5pm

Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 8am-5pm

Range closed: Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day & half Anzac Day

Public Holidays Excluding Mondays: 8am-5pm

Office Open: Monday-Friday: 9am-4pm
