General Information

The 200m Cast Rifle Silhouette Match competition challenges shooters to engage full-size metallic silhouette targets at varying distances using any centrefire rifle. All ammunition must be loaded with cast lead projectiles, emphasizing precision shooting and target knockdown power.

Course of Fire

·         40 rounds, fired from the standing position.

·         Two and one half minutes will be allowed to fire one shot on each target of a bank of five targets.

·         Targets must be engaged left to right; out-of-order hits count as misses.

·         Targets must be knocked off their stand to score a hit; ricochets that do so are counted.

Targets

·         10x Chickens – 50 metres

·         10x Pigs – 100 metres

·         10x Turkeys – 150 metres

·         10x Rams – 200 metres

Rifle & Ammunition Requirements

·         Any centrefire rifle is permitted.

·         Only cast lead projectiles allowed.

·         Max muzzle velocity: 1,700 fps.

This match emphasizes traditional marksmanship, rewarding accuracy, consistency, and skill in a classic silhouette shooting format.

Reminder: As per Standing Orders #17.4 – Eye protection must be worn at all times and ear protection whilst shooting is in progress.

Range and Competition Fees

Range Fee $10.00 + Comp Fee $5.00 = $15.00

Booking Information (Annual Range Pass)

·         When making a booking, if you have a SSAA Brisbane Annual Range Pass (ARP) you will need to apply the discount code "ARP" on the last page.

·         This will discount the Range Fee ($10.00) from the total.

·         For this to work you must be logged in.

In the event of a booking cancellation, this will incur a $5.00 administration fee.
